Our client is looking for a Millwright who will be responsible for servicing projects according to the customer and the clients’ requirements, including maintenance, fault finding, repair, inspection, and commissioning. someone who will provide technical expertise in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance to enhance reliability, equipment value, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes expertise to resolve common issues for customers.
• Provides coaching to customer technicians on fundamental servicing and maintenance principles.
• Performs maintenance and repair tasks on products and equipment.
• Works autonomously to troubleshoot routine problems.
• Generates maintenance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Conducts Mechanical or Electrical maintenance operations, including analysis, planning, and execution of small to medium-sized equipment enhancements (or larger improvements as needed).
• Coordinates and oversees actions taken by contractors, if required.
• Executes preventive maintenance, addresses corrective actions, supports planning efforts, monitors outcomes, and maintains documentation.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Achieves maintenance targets as established.
• Ensures compliance with quality and cleanliness standards.
• Upholds safety protocols and housekeeping (5S) requirements.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• 4-6 Years Sandvik Equipment Experience
• Millwright Certification

Job Description:

Our client is a market leader in the development of solar PV and energy storage projects and they are seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful delivery of hybrid large-scale energy projects located locally and regionally across sub-Saharan Africa. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with Head of Operations, Head of Contracts and Logistics and Engineering Manager/external Engineering to perform the following main activities.

Responsibilities:

• Site visits/site assessments.
• Preparation of internal and review of external pre-construction documentation and plans.
• Driving EPC technical due diligence.
• Being main point of contact for the EPC and all project stakeholders on each project assigned including weekly project meetings.
• Responsibility for Internal reporting and meetings on project progress.
• Project Programme management throughout all periods of the project(s).
• Overseeing plant design, procurement, and logistics.
• Overseeing plant construction to ensure design, quality and health and safety, reporting and documentation standards are met including living on site (or going between sites in the case of managing multiple sites at once) for much of the construction period.
• Overseeing plant commissioning, punch list preparation and completion and project close out phases, including review of final documentation.
• EPC payment milestone management.
• Weekly reporting to the Client on project progress.
• Assistance with preparation of internal Project Management processes and policies.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction and project management experience with a strong operational background.
• Thorough experience and understanding of hybrid generation systems.
• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience.
• Suitable site H&S qualifications, .e.g., IOSHH of comparable local certification.
• Significant experience managing vendor and client payment terms to achieve positive cash flow.
• Significant experience with design / build contracts from ground up that result in profitable construction projects.
• Strong understanding of financial models and management of budgeting cash flow.
• Capable of managing multiple projects.
• The ability to create and manage a schedule and budget to required margins.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
