Job Description:

Our mining client has operations in Sierra Leone. The role aims to provide leadership in engineering management for the planning, design, and execution of Company capital projects. The focus is to lead and apply Engineering Management Principles to optimize business value while maintaining subject matter expertise in specific disciplines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate project engineering disciplines across all Company projects.
  • Guide and interact with Company operational owners’ teams on engineering deliverables, aiming for global leadership in engineering management and technology application.
  • Develop and identify options for value optimization through best practices, considering synergies across the project scope and disciplines.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelor's / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification (Master's / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline, or a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in Engineering management, covering a range of commodities and operating conditions in a large organization.
  • Extensive career experience in the application of Engineering Management Principles in capital projects across various commodities and operating conditions.
  • Strong operational mining experience in applying Engineering Management Principles in capital projects covering a range of commodities.
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English.
