Job Description:

Our client, an established supplier of specialised technical products to the mining industry and part of a larger Group, is seeking an experienced General Manager based in Gauteng. Reporting to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will lead the overall performance, profitability and sustainable growth of the business, executing the Group's strategy across sales, operations and the technical team, with the annual sales revenue target as the key focus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of the Group's strategic objectives through business planning and operational implementation, monitoring performance and taking corrective action where required.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability and overall business performance, deliver the annual sales revenue target, and manage the annual operating budget.
• Lead all operations, including manufacturing, warehousing, quality assurance and delivery, driving efficiency, productivity and process optimisation.
• Lead and develop the sales, operations and technical teams, building a high-performing, accountable and collaborative culture.
• Build strategic relationships with customers, suppliers and industry partners, and work closely with finance, HR and the wider Group.
• Ensure sound governance, risk management and compliance, and champion a culture of health, safety, quality and environmental responsibility.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Science or a related field. A postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience as a General Manager within manufacturing, mining or a related technical environment.
• Previous experience in a company reporting into a Group structure will be advantageous.
• Strong business, commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills, with emotional intelligence and resilience.
