Job description:


We are seeking experienced Diesel Technicians for potential international employment-based relocation opportunities across Australia and other key global mining jurisdictions.


We are inviting Expressions of Interest from skilled diesel maintenance professionals who may be interested in future opportunities within mining and heavy industry environments, particularly in high-demand operational settings.


This Expression of Interest is intended to establish a talent pool for upcoming roles that may become available over the coming months and does not relate to a single, immediate vacancy.


The role of Diesel Technician involves the maintenance, diagnostics, servicing, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain systems across heavy mobile equipment. The position requires experience working in high-utilisation fleet environments, including both workshop-based and field breakdown response conditions.


This EOI is intended for experienced trade professionals who may be considered for employer-sponsored opportunities, subject to project approvals, workforce planning requirements, and relevant international employment or migration criteria.


Responsibilities:


  • Service, repair, and maintain heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
  • Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform engine, transmission, brake, and suspension repairs
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety and site maintenance standards
  • Support workshop and field service operations as required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records



Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • Trade qualification as Diesel / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • 3–5 years post-trade experience in heavy vehicle or mining environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capability
  • Experience with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Strong safety awareness in industrial or mining environments
  • Willingness to undergo international skills assessment and licensing requirements
  • English proficiency to meet visa requirements (IELTS/PTE or equivalent)


Visa Documentation Required


  • Valid passport
  • Trade certificates and academic qualifications
  • Skills assessment (TRA or equivalent where applicable)
  • English language test results (IELTS/PTE)
