The main purpose of the position is to establish the company’s mining credibility through thought leadership, consulting delivery and technical mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintains domain technical expertise and quality standards in consulting organization
- Provide market thought leadership and communicates customer priorities to product management
- Provide mentorship and support on escalated Level 3 customer and user queries
- Understand and communicate to product management market and customer priorities
- Apply subject matter expertise to provide high level knowledge transfer to clients and subordinates
- Define and scope complex technical solutions linked to business requirements
- SME knowledge of at least one of our company’s product or advanced knowledge of multiple products
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Relevant degree in Engineering or Geology or Information Technology
- 15+ years mining and consulting experience
- Experience managing complex projects
- Expert in one or more mining software programmes
- Comprehensive knowledge of the mining industry and/or enterprise software market
- Subject matter expert with broad mining market knowledge and the ability to produce business outcomes to position as the SOC
- Cross cultural EQ and commercial awareness
- Have customer credibility at senior levels e.g. mine manager
- Fluency in English essential, French would be an advantage
Contractual information:
- Permanent contract
- Location: Johannesburg office
- Travel required into Africa, 1 week every month (on average)
