Before you read on, I must mention that this role will require you to travel frequently.
The Business Development Director will look after the business development activities of the organisation and drive the new sales business for the company, playing a vital key role in the company’s bottom line.
Our client is looking for someone with a very specific skill set. The ideal candidate must be someone who enjoys travelling for work (who doesn’t, right?). You will be required to spend time across various regions in Africa, including remote parts in Africa – to develop the client’s business in the targeted markets.
Our client wants candidates with strong operational backgrounds. People with a track record of winning business and established networks and connections are key.

Job Spec: Business Development Director – Africa
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities.
- Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
- Take ownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions of the business.
- Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.
- Working to stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
- Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
- Experience in camp management services, catering or camp construction.
- Business Development Experience.
- Operational Background in remote site support services
- French speaking would be an advantage
