A CA Mining client is seeking a qualified Maintenance Superintendent individual to lead their maintenance team on site in South Africa.
Maintenance Superintendent Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Superintendent needs to provide a mechanical engineering maintenance and project service and should oversee the design and construction works. The Maintenance Superintendent will be working with EPCM and contractors. The Maintenance Superintendent will also carry legal responsibility in terms of the South African Mine Health and Safety Act and should adhere to company principles.
Maintenance Superintendent Requirements: (Maintenance Superintendent Qualification and Skill)
GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) Mines & Works ESSENTIAL. The Maintenance Superintendent must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma and a project management qualification. The Maintenance Superintendent should have 10 years’ experience in maintenance within the mining industry, of which at least 5 years must be at senior levels and also have extensive project and construction experience in the mining industry. The Maintenance Superintendent should have 4 years experience in an underground mining environment. This position is only open to South Africa citizens or foreign nationals with a valid work permit, who are residing in South Africa.
Maintenance Superintendent Contractual information:
This position is based on a 2 year contract and relocation is provided for family.
