I work in the Mining industry (production).

Good leadership properties.
What inspired you to get into this sort of industry?
The day to day challenges in the industry are very challenging but being able to work with diverse people and learning new things daily in the mining industry inspired me so much.
What is the most challenging aspect within your field of work?
Keeping safety and production to a high standard on a daily basis can be challenging.
How do you manage and overcome these challenges?
By being part of the team who working with me and by promoting safety.
If somebody starts as a trainee / beginner within your line of work, what could they earn in salary?
Roughly R20 000 per month.
What can this person expect to earn after 10 years of experience?
Roughly R 30 000 to R 40 000 per month.
What advice can you offer people who are in the same industry as you?
Work hard for what you want, at the end of the day it will pay-off.

Where in Africa have you worked before?
I have worked in South Africa.
As you know, numerous African countries are being invested in due to their rich minerals. Which country within Africa do you think will be the next hot spot and why?
Angola and Namibia because these two countries have lots of mineral resources that have not been discovered yet and exploration within these countries indicate that there is lot of potential.
