Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Powerhouse Engineer whose role will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of power generation equipment and the associated auxiliary equipment to ensure the optimal performance of diesel engines and auxiliary systems within the power plant. This role involves ensuring that the power plant operates efficiently, safely and within regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and oversees maintenance activities for diesel engines and auxiliary systems.
• Conducts periodic maintenance and overhauls for engines like Hyundai 9H 21/32 and ABC 16DZC-750.
• Supervises electrical and mechanical supervisors, assigning tasks and ensuring quality.
• Diagnoses and resolves electrical and mechanical issues.
• Conducts inspections and oversees issue resolution.
• Troubleshoots SCADA and PLC system faults.
• Ensures maintenance meets QA/QC and OEM standards.
• Provides training and development for the maintenance team.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities and inspections in the CMMS system.
• Manages spare parts and supplies inventory.
• Identifies and implements process improvements in mechanical maintenance.
• Conducts risk assessments on critical equipment and procedures.
• Holds regular health and safety talks to reinforce EHS policies.
• Ensures compliance with safety and lock-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Conducts safety audits and promotes a safety culture within the team

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Over 7 years’ experience in a power plant or heavy industry maintenance environment in a similar/equivalent role.
• Minimum HND/Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering/Technology.
• Proven success with power generation equipment, particularly diesel engines and associated auxiliary systems.
• Proven track record of leading a maintenance team and managing CMMS-based maintenance programs.
• Proven expertise on SCADA and PLC Systems
