Our client, a large scale Copper mine situated in the region of Congo, is looking for a Foreman Water Sealing. This individual will have to manage ground water flow into the workings of the mine shafts to minimize water inflow to lower the risk of flooding. You will report directly to the Managerial Leader Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the Water Sealing Function to ensure continuous mining operations
• To ensure that all cavities and exploration holes are sealed to specification, sidewalls & electrical cubbies are white washed and concrete drains & footwalls are installed.
• To seal ground water flow into the workings at the mine shafts to minimise inflow, reduce pumping expenditure, lower the risk of flooding and ensuring ongoing, sustainable mining operations and safety
• Supervise each team to ensure correct use of SOP's and methodologies followed
• Comply with safety procedures based on best practice and ensure a safe working environment for self and team
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• Manage team according to HR SOP's
• Ensure compliance, risk management, quality assurance and reporting in business area

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• 8 Years + water sealing experience, of which 2 years in a team-leader/supervisor role Experience drilling,
• Identification of Influx water and various sealing methods
• Relevant Diploma
