Job Description:


Our client is seeking a Divisional Manager in Environmental & Legal Services who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the environmental and legal services and project management team within the company.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate a track record in successfully managing projects aligned with IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles.
  • Oversee and assess projects utilizing the organization’s methodology and principles, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with our quality standards.
  • Provide comprehensive project reporting and analytics to keep relevant stakeholders informed about the division’s progress.
  • Take charge of financial management for the division, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and related activities.
  • Expand our market presence through effective upselling and cross-selling of the organization’s services to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and mutual success.
  • Stay abreast of new technological and legal developments and trends and communicate their implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Undertake people management responsibilities, including development, recruitment, coaching and mentoring, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Serve as a key account manager when required, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring a consistently client-centric approach.
  • Identify potential leads within the department and organize, plan, and monitor proposals in response.


 


Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • 10 – 15 years in the Environmental Management field.
  • 10 – 15 yeas in consulting, would be beneficial.
  • At least 10 years project management experience.
  • Post graduate degree in Environmental Sciences or similar.
  • Project Management Certificate would be beneficial.
  • Five years exposure to the mining industry.
  • The person filling this position must be willing to travel internationally.
  • Knowledge of applicable Environmental, Mining and Social legislation.
