Our client, a successful and continually growing mining organization is in search of an experienced Senior Project Geologist to lead their exploration projects in South Africa
Responsibilities:
- Report to the GM Exploration
- Build information management infrastructure and systems
- Technical support
- Work alongside exploration project staff
- Establish GIS and exploration data management
- Establish document management system
- Establish regional country database (GIS and Reports)
- Travel to collect data from geological surveys and authorities
- Technical Geological Exploration
- Maintain technical data management systems
- GIS Data compilation for GM exploration and Business Development
- Data capturing and digitization of work
- Manage software licenses (ArcGIS, Geosoft) and technical subscriptions
Requirements:
- BSc Hons. Degree in Geology
- Specialist in GIS/Data Management
- 8 years exploration experience
- Data experience advantageous but not essential
- 2 years practical exploration field experience
- High proficiency in ArcGIS, Geosoft and 3D GIS packages preferable
- Document Management systems experience
