Diamond Mining
Some of the world’s top diamond-producing countries are in Africa and the diamond crystal mining industry is hugely lucrative for the continent.
This is particularly so in Botswana, the continent’s dominant diamond producer. Jwaneng in Botswana is the richest diamond mine on Earth in terms of value, and it and the Orapa mine are the largest diamond mines on Earth. The tough crystals make up half of all of Botswana’s exports and a quarter of its GDP.
The next largest producers of diamonds in Africa are Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, and Namibia.
The Mining Recruitment Africa Jobs portal has job boards listing the latest diamond mining jobs in Africa, from mid-to senior-level positions. There is a demand for highly skilled locals, Diaspora, and expatriates in the Africa diamond mining industry.
