Job Description:

An international mining company specializing in mineral drilling is looking to hire an Operations Manager at their mining site in New Caledonia. The role of the Operations Manager will be to execute the work of the agency in accordance with the group's standards while respecting deadlines, costs, technical and contractual specifications. The Operation Manager will be managing the staff under his responsibility while representing the company. Participating in the development of commercial offers in collaboration with the Head of Agency will also be one of his duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define the technical and human resources before the start of each project in relation with the Head of Agency and the Head of the Park.
  • Define the logistical means to be assigned on the building sites and manage the control of the products and supply of the building sites.
  • Implement security measures to protect personnel, equipment and the environment.
  • Conduct regular site visits as part of the supervision.
  • Keep record of performance and consumption tracking files and provide correction when needed.
  • Write the weekly operational reports that will be sent to the Agency Head to add to the agency's HR.
  • Attend meetings with Clients as a technical and contractual referent.
  • Attend site meetings with Clients as a technical and contractual referent.
  • Responsible for producing invoices, converting them and monitoring payments in relation with the agency's accounting department.


 

Requirements: Qualifications and Skills

  • Initial training: Mining Engineer, Arts & Craft, Geologist, Hydraulic Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years in the conduct of drilling.
  • VL license (PL license would be a plus) Car.
  • European Passport
  • Excel, MS Project and Word Knowledge.
  • Knowledge in mechanics and / or hydraulics or geology.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Sense of organization and very great rigor.
  • Listening and communication skills.
  • Good business skills.
