Our client is is seeking an experienced Control Room Supervisor to oversee all control room operations for the process plant at their mine site in West Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing control room operations for the process plant to ensure production targets are met.
  • Ensure that the control room operations are carried out in line with company standards, safely and efficiently.
  • Input operational system status with control system tools.
  • Calibrating and troubleshooting automation.
  • Ensuring effective implementation of control loops and cascade loops in PLC/SCADA system to ensure consistent plant operations.
  • Overseeing control desk.
  • Attending to production floor requests and machine stoppage alerts.
  • Ensuring plant is operating within parameters required production and process key metrics.

  • 8 years previous experience in Control Room Operations within a mineral processing environment, including 5 years at Supervisory level.
  • Strong PLC / Scada experience with the ability to run the process plant through the SCADA control system.
  • Proven experience calibrating and troubleshooting automation within an operational processing plant.
  • Computer literate with good communication skills.
  • Strong experience in mentoring, training, coaching and guiding local nationals as an expatriate in Africa.
