The Mining Indaba is done and dusted and our newest CA Mining members give us their feedback about the notorious event.
See below Richard Christer’s and Aabida Davis’ responses about their first ever African Mining Indaba experience.
As your first time attending the Mining Indaba, what was your overall impression?
I was impressed with the organisation of the entire event and the calibre of people that attended the African Mining Indaba.
What made your Mining Indaba experience so valuable?
Contributing to Africa’s largest mining networking event and meeting some of the industry’s greatest decision makers.
How was it meeting potential and current client as well as candidates?
It was a refreshing experience as we often speak to our clients over the phone and was good to match a face to name. Face-to-face interactions with both our clients and candidates are always valuable; they allow for in-depth discussions that lead to fruitful opportunities and enhanced relationships.

Richard what was the Mining Indaba like for you?
I thought the event was very well supported and represented. The CA Mining stand was in a good position and it was good to meet others in the African Mining Market.
What did you take away from the Mining Indaba?
How important it was to arrange scheduled meetings at our stand. I found that the meetings held at the CA Mining stand were more effective and we achieved much more in that perspective.
You obviously got the chance to interact with potential and current clients as well candidates, how was this for you?
It was great! It was nice to put a face to the voice. Many of our meet and greets centered around who CA Mining is and what recruitment services we can render.
